Cary
Cary is neighborhood delivery: people who are already here carrying things for people who are already here.
Not every Ward runs Cary. If yours does, you’ll see it in Bulletin and around the neighborhood.
How Cary works
Cary starts with capacity. A Courier says when they’re available to carry, and deliveries can be placed into that time.
Nothing is assigned. Couriers are free to decline a delivery and are responsible only for the ones they accept.
That means an order isn’t taken first and left waiting for someone willing to carry it.
Courier
Couriers are 16 and over. Carrying alcohol requires being 21 or older.
When your delivery is on its way, you can follow your Courier on the map. Their location is shared only with you, and only for the duration of the delivery.
What it costs
The business keeps the full price of what it sells. Most of the delivery charge goes to the neighbor who carries it. A small part stays with the Ward to run Cary.
Right now
Cary is still being assembled. Its board is open in Bulletin, where neighbors can talk about deliveries and errands now.
Formal ordering and Courier signup will open when the systems they depend on are ready.
